Value in Paris?

After a poor run of form, not quite sure how Publish managed to throw his race away yesterday, The Guvnor is looking to find a bit of value at Longchamp this afternoon to try and kick-start September.
Here’s one for you all in the 2:50 race that is worth a punt:
Richard Hannon’s Rosallion has been knocking on the door in these big Group 1 races all season, and it’s surely only a matter of time before he gets his head in front. Most recently, he was unlucky at the Ebor meeting in the City of York Stakes — probably hindered by the draw there, abd again it has not been kind to him (11 out of 12 on the draw). He’s a son of Blue Point, but he’s yet to show he handles soft ground well; that’s the big question mark.

Now, for my each-way tip at around 14/1 , it’s Quddwah trained by Simon & Ed Cristford, ridden by Callum Shepherd. He’s a five-year-old son of Kingman, and he’s gone well on soft ground earlier this season — notably winning in France on soft in May, including a victory over today’s course and distance.
My feeling is that Quddwah will likely go straight to the front from stall 1 and try to dictate. If he’s anywhere near the form that saw him win the Group 3 Prix Messidor at Chantilly, he could be tough to beat, especially with a bit of luck in running.

All in all, at the 9/1 available, I reckon he offers good each-way value. Keep an eye on him coming into the final stages — he might just outrun his odds.
