Unusual To Write A Capital Double

Alright folks, it's quite unusual for The Guvnors Blog to be tipping two horses on the same day, but I couldn’t resist this time. Both selections have strong underlying reasons, and I think they’re well worth a shot today. So here’s why I’ve gone for these two:
Publish in the 1:50 at Haydock (Nap):

This colt from the Gosden stable is a real up-and-comer. He made a powerful impression in a 7f maiden at Sandown, showing excellent stamina and a lot of promise. The fact that he’s stepping up to a listed race suggests serious intentions from the trainer. His form suggests he’ll appreciate the extra furlong on a quicker surface, which should suit him much better than softer ground. Drawn in stall 8, he might have a bit of traffic to navigate, but his class should shine through. The Gosdens last won this race a decade ago, and I believe Publish has the talent to land this for them once again.
Prague in the 1:15:

Prague is an eye-catching candidate, especially considering how he ran last year in this very race – he was an unlucky loser, risking traffic problems and still finishing within half a length of the winner. He's been lightly raced, and his trainer, Tom Dascombe, has a good record here. He's likely to be ridden with more restraint today, which could help him settle better early on, setting him up for a strong finish. Conditions are expected to be dry and good for him, which he clearly prefers. Last season, he proved his ability on good ground, and with the right trip, he could go very close.
Recommended Bets:
3 points on Win for Publish - 6/5 with most firms
1 point each-way on Prague - 11/2 most firms
0.5 point win double - just over 13/1
That’s a total of 5 points, giving us a smart spread to try and maximize our chances. Both are competitive and well-placed to perform—best of luck!
