Not At His Limit Yet?

I’m siding with Push The Limit in the BetMGM Noel Murless Stakes at Ascot (16:05) – a horse who looks ready to take another big step forward.
He’s only got the one win on the board this season, but don’t let that fool you – Ralph Beckett’s colt has been running like a proper smart performer. He landed his handicap debut at Glorious Goodwood in fine style, showing grit and class despite things not going his way in the run.
Last time out here at Ascot, he was a strong favourite again and ran a cracker in defeat, bumping into a rival who’s clearly going places (and heading for Group company this weekend). He might’ve been set too much to do that day, but still powered home, posting a career-best effort that screamed there’s more to come.
This extra trip looks tailor-made for him – his pedigree is laced with stamina and he’s shaping like a horse who’ll thrive the further he goes. Off an official mark of 103, he’s already shown Listed-class ability, and I reckon today’s step up in grade is well within his compass.

And if you needed any more confidence, just look at the yard form – Ralph Beckett has sent out 10 winners from 45 runners in the last fortnight (22%). The stable’s flying, and Push The Limit could well be the next one to strike.
The Guvnor’s Nap: 2 points win at Betfair SP - Push The Limit 16:05 Ascot
