Each Way Value on Town Moor

The 2:25 at Doncaster – the Group 2 May Hill Stakes – looks a tasty little contest, and there’s a filly in here who could be about to shake things up.
Moon Target lost her perfect record last time out at Goodwood, bumped into Aidan O’Brien’s smart Precise, and just couldn’t quite land a blow over 7f. Today she tries a mile for the first time, which should help, but it won’t be a stroll. Ballydoyle are firing their own Sugar Island into the mix too, though she was well beaten at the Curragh and will need a chunk of improvement – even with Christophe Soumillon stepping in.
The one that catches my eye is Aylin. She finished strongly for third in that same Prestige Stakes, less than two lengths off Moon Target, and everything about her run screamed “I’ll love an extra furlong.” Add in the fact she’s already a winner in the mud, and with Donny looking testing, that’s a big tick in her box. Karl Burke’s got her spot-on for this, and David Egan – who partnered her to success earlier this summer – is back on board.

She might not topple the favourite, but at the prices, Aylin looks a cracking each-way play in what could be a stamina test.
The 6/1 on offer with most firms is generous in my opinion so the recommendation today is:
2pt EW Aylin - 2.25 Doncaster
